1ST INTERNATIONAL FELIKS RYBICKI PIANO COMPETITION
1. The Competition is organized by the Nova Art Foundation and the Feliks Rybicki Music School Complex in Tychy.
2. Competition objectives:
· To enable young pianists to showcase their performing skills.
· To gain stage experience outside their home school.
· To develop the musical imagination of the participants.
· To popularize the work of the outstanding composer Feliks Rybicki in Poland and abroad.
· To exchange pedagogical experiences.
· To support young talents on their path of artistic development. To support young talents in their artistic development.
3. The competition is held in both Stationary (in-person) and Online formats.
4. The Competition consists of one stage.
5. The competition is held in both Stationary (in-person) and Online formats in all categories: two contrasting pieces
6. The repertoire must be performed from memory.
7. Participants are evaluated on a scale of 1-25 points.
8. Participants who score 19-20.99 points receive an honorable mention.
9. Participants who score a minimum of 21 points are awarded the title of Competition Laureate.
10. The jury decides on the distribution of prizes.
11. The jury may award a Grand Prix.
12. The organizers also plan to award a special prize for the best performance of a piece by Feliks Rybicki, as well as prizes in the form of concert performances.
13. The decisions of the Jury are final and not subject to appeal.
14. Qualification for the competition is determined by the order of registration. The number of participants is limited.
15. By submitting an application the participants accept the rules and regulations.

Pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as: GDPR), the Nova Art Foundation informs that:
1) The Personal Data Controller is the Nova Art Foundation with its registered office in Gilowice, ul. Kaczeńców 8, 43-227 Gilowice, tel. 603 650 318, e-mail: nova.art@wp.pl;
2) Personal data (including image) will be processed for the purpose of promoting and implementing tasks related to the F. Rybicki International Piano Competition and will be made available in accordance with your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Article 81 of the Act of February 4, 1994, on copyright and related rights concerning the dissemination of images;
3) The recipients of personal data will be natural persons and legal entities having access to websites, portals, and media in accordance with your consent;
5) The administrator does not plan to transfer data to a third country or international organization, however, it should be noted that the location of the final storage place of the recorded image and personal data of the winners in connection with their publication on Facebook may involve the location of the data server outside the European Economic Area;
6) The data will be processed until there is a legitimate reason for processing it for information and promotional purposes or until you withdraw your consent to its processing;
7) You have the right to request the controller to access personal data concerning the data subject, to rectify, delete or restrict processing, or to object to processing;
8) You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing that was carried out on the basis of your consent prior to its withdrawal;
9) You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Office for Personal Data Protection, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw;
10) Providing personal data is voluntary, but failure to do so will prevent participation in the Competition;
11) The Personal Data Administrator does not make automated decisions and does not profile personal data;
12) The Personal Data Administrator does not plan to further process personal data for purposes other than those for which the personal data will be collected.
II - STATIONARY COMPETITION
1. The Stationary Competition will take place on May 30-31, 2026, at the F. Rybicki Concert Hall of the State Music School in Tychy, ul. Niepodległości 53.
2. The deadline for registration and payment is May 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
3. The competition piano is a Yamaha CFX.
4. The organizers provide participants with a short rehearsal on the competition piano and access to practice room.
5. The competition is held in the following groups:
Group I – 1st grade of the 6-year/8-year cycle
Group II – 2nd grade of the 6-year/8-year cycle and 1st grade of the 4-year cycle
Group III – 3rd grade of the 6-year/8-year cycle
Group IV – 4th grade of the 6-year/8-year cycle and 2nd grade of the 4-year cycle
Group V – 5th grade of the 6-year/8-year cycle and 3rd grade of the 4-year cycle
Group VI – 6th grade of the 6-year/8-year cycle and 4th grade of the 4-year cycle
6. There is a time limit for presentations:
Group I – maximum 4 minutes
Group II – maximum 5 minutes
Group III – maximum 6 minutes
Group IV – maximum 7 minutes
Group V – maximum 8 minutes
Group VI – maximum 10 minutes
7. The jury has the right to interrupt any performance that exceeds the time limit.
8. Participants are required to pay an entry fee:
Participants from Poland: PLN 170
Participants from abroad: EUR 45

11. The entry fee is non-refundable.
12. Competition laureates are obliged to take part in the laureates’ concert.
1. The deadline for submitting applications for the online competition is May 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
2. The results will be announced on May 30/31, 2026, during the concert of the winners of the Stationary Competition, and will also be published on the Competition website.
3. Participants are divided into the following groups:
Group A – pianists born in 2018 and younger
Group B – pianists born in 2015 and younger
Group C – pianists born in 2011 and younger
Group D – pianists born in 2007 and younger
Group E – no age restrictions
4. There is a time limit for performances:
Group A – maximum 4 minutes
Group B – maximum 7 minutes
Group C – maximum 10 minutes
Group D – maximum 12 minutes
Group E – maximum 15 minutes
5. Participants are required to pay an entry fee:

9. The competition recording should be published on YouTube as a private video, taking into account the following guidelines:
● The title of the video should include the participant's first and last name and the name of the category.

● The description of the video should include the name of the competition and detailed program.

● The pieces may be recorded separately and then combined into a single video. No editing cuts are allowed within individual pieces. The participant's full silhouette should be visible in the recording.
